What is Cindy's Fund?

 

Cindy's Fund is a non-profit (501c3) group dedicated to helping Garrett County residents with cancer-related expenses.  All of our members are volunteers, allowing all monies to go directly to our patients.

 

We are proud to provide the following services for Garrett County residents diagnosed with cancer:

 

- gas cards to help get to and from treatments and doctor's appointments

-hotel stays for when a person has to travel out of town for treatments or appointments, allowing the patient to take a loved one along for support

- uncovered health supplements, such as vitamins or Ensure, as recommended by physician and not covered by insurance

- prescriptions

- health services, i.e. port flushes

- miscellaneous, i.e. paying for a person's prosthetic eye when he lost his eye to cancer

-supplementing the Garrett County Health Department's free cancer screenings
